After that long and quite chilly winter, we have finally arrived at summer! You know what that means, don’t you? It’s time to redecorate your home with some indoor and outdoor décor items! Here are some ideas to get you started on lightening your home up for the summer:

-          It wouldn’t be summer without some pockets of rain disrupting cocktail hour on the patio, so you mine as well use the bad weather to your benefit with a rain chain. Rain chains are placed at the downspout of your gutters, providing a beautiful way for rain to travel down to the ground from your home. This way you won’t have buckets of water just pouring out  you will have a majestic stream!

-          With the weather being so nice, you’ll probably want to plant a garden or contribute some time to landscaping new areas of your lawn. You’ll definitely need a hose pot for storing your garden hose in a unique and gorgeous way. People won’t even know that there’s a hose in there at all!

-          One staple of the summer season is the torch. I’m not even sure you can call it a party if the yard isn’t decked out with a few rows of classically designed torches to light up the party area!

-          As we all know, one of the best sounds of summer is the chirping of the birds that wakes you up peacefully in the morning. To add to these sounds, think about getting some wind chimes, which are not only nice to look at, but beautiful to listen to.

-          Last but not least, don’t forget to feed your bird friends and liven up your yard with a birdfeeder or even a few birdhouses. There are a number of styles and types to choose from, you should be able to find several that match the overall design of your yard.
